Regardless of the fate of Kyoto, we will continue to study the role greenhouse gases may play in climate change. Maybe it will turn out we need to turn our attention - seriously - to managing greenhouse gases in Earth’s atmosphere.
We know quite a bit about Nature’s methods of managing carbon and the production and use of energy. It seems that with our already broad involvement in Earth’s carbon cycle through agriculture, forestry and energy science we can develop the means to manage carbon.
The carbon cycle itself provides much insight as well as a means of monitoring progress.
