Supplementary Comment on Discussion Paper 1

Duane Pendergast, Computare, Submitted: May 24, 2004

(Posted on the Nuclear Waste Management Organization website in context)

The discussion paper places great emphasis on protection of the environment and other life forms. James Lovelock, father of the Gaia hypotheses, indicates that "Nuclear Power, although potentially harmful to people, is a negligible danger to the planet. He has some imaginative suggestions for nuclear waste disposal. His poetically expressed thoughts on nuclear power are available at the following website (http://www.comby.org/livres/nucpreen.htm). Perhaps his broad perspective will be helpful.
