Wednesday, June 25, 2003 Re: ENMAX Fixed Price Energy PlanDear Mr. Durfy: I received your kind offer to supply me with electricity and natural gas at fixed rates for specified time periods today. Since this is the first offer I recall receiving, I’m going to wait to see if any better offers may be forthcoming from you or your competitors. Your guarantee that 10% of my electricity consumption would come from wind surprised me. Should there be major acceptance of your offer, I believe it would represent a very substantial increase in wind capacity from your electricity suppliers. I went to your website to see if I could find any information on your procedures to monitor, audit and report to me on this commitment. No luck. I called your Greenmax representative. They had no information on this aspect of your guarantee either. Frankly, I wonder how ENMAX will be able to follow through on this guarantee. Are your contingency plans in place to provide sufficient wind power if your customers subscribe heavily to your fixed rate plan? How will you demonstrate to customers that you have lived up to it? If you do not provide 10% wind electricity, what is your customer’s recourse? Will there be some kind of refund to the customers? My scepticism is open to change, but it will take some straight answers to these questions to convince me and other ENMAX Energy Customers your “guarantee” is more than an empty promise. I’m looking forward to clarification. Thank you. Yours truly,
Duane Pendergast
