The nuclear industry appreciates recognition of environmental benefits of nuclear power from straight talkers such as Gwynne Dyer and James Lovelock. (Column, Dyer Straight, Sunday, May 30)
Herald readers might be surprised to learn that a member of the Canadian Nuclear Association, Computare, is located in Lethbridge. Computare focuses on energy issues related to climate change and greenhouse gas management. Computare’s website is www.computare.org. It provides information on, and analysis of, nuclear power in the context of Canada’s Kyoto commitment to reduce atmospheric greenhouse gases.
