30 Fairmont Park Lane S Re: Straight talk on climate Dear Editor, Straight talk on ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions – or not – has hardly been in short supply in Canada. The National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy, which was formed by the Brian Mulroney government back in 1988, is now recycling elements of straight talk extensively documented by the National Climate Change Process established by the Jean Chrétien government in 1997. Unfortunately, citizens no longer have ready access to that body of information obtained at great expense to government and industry. Our current government somehow mislaid or closed the website where it was posted a year or two ago. Go figure. Yours truly,
Duane Pendergast
